Frequently asked questions

Everything cruisers ask us about getting between MIA and the two South Florida cruise ports. If your question is not here, dispatch will answer it live.

  • Do you serve both PortMiami and Port Everglades from MIA?

Yes, that is the core of what we do. From Miami International Airport we run fixed-fare transfers to all seven PortMiami cruise terminals (8 miles, 15-20 minutes) and to every numbered terminal at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale (26 miles, 30-45 minutes), plus the return trips after your cruise.

  • What happens if my flight into MIA is delayed?

Nothing you need to manage. We track your flight number and shift the pickup automatically to your actual landing time. Waiting is free for 30 minutes on domestic arrivals and 60 minutes on international ones, which covers immigration and baggage on almost every flight.

  • How far in advance should I book my cruise transfer?

Book as soon as you know your flight and ship. Embarkation days concentrate demand between 10 AM and 2 PM, and larger vehicles like SUVs and Sprinters sell out first on peak weekends. Most guests book two to six weeks ahead; same-day is often possible but never guaranteed.

  • Is the price really fixed?

Yes. The fare you see at booking is the fare you pay: driver, fuel, tolls, airport parking, meet and greet and standard waiting time are all inside it. Traffic on I-95 or a slow customs line changes nothing. No meters, no surge.

  • Which cruise terminal will my ship use?

Tell us your ship name and sail date and we confirm it for you. At PortMiami: Royal Caribbean uses Terminal A, Norwegian B, Carnival C and D, MSC E and F, Virgin Voyages Terminal V. At Port Everglades, terminals are numbered: Princess at 2, Celebrity at 4, Royal Caribbean at 18 and 25, Holland America at 21, Carnival at 19, 26 and 29.

  • My cruise leaves from Port Everglades. Should I still fly into MIA?

If flights into MIA are cheaper, better timed or nonstop where FLL is not, yes, and the transfer is a straightforward 26-mile, 30-45 minute ride on I-95 or the Turnpike with a fixed fare from $119. If both airports are equal for your route, FLL is closer to Port Everglades. We serve either choice, so book the flight that suits you.

  • How early can my return flight be after the cruise?

From PortMiami, domestic flights from 11:30 AM are comfortable and 10:30-11:30 AM works with self-assist walk-off. From Port Everglades to MIA, add the longer drive: 12:30 PM onward is relaxed, 11:30 AM-12:30 PM is workable with an early walk-off. Add roughly an hour for international departures. Send us your ship and flight and we will give you a straight answer.

  • Where does the driver meet me at MIA?

Inside the arrivals hall, past customs, holding a sign with your name. MIA has two main arrival areas (North and South terminals); your driver knows your airline and belt area from the flight number. Meet and greet is included in every fare, not an upsell.

  • Can you handle a group spread across several cabins or even two ships?

Yes. Our Sprinter Van carries 14 passengers with 14 bags for single-vehicle groups, and for split parties, two ships at different ports included, we coordinate multiple cars on one reservation with one point of contact.

  • Do you provide child and booster seats?

Yes, forward-facing child seats and boosters are available as booking extras for a small fixed fee, fitted before the driver leaves for your pickup. Florida law requires a child restraint through age 5, and port taxis hailed on the spot rarely carry them, so reserving ahead matters for families.

  • What if my ship docks late or customs takes forever?

For post-cruise pickups we monitor the vessel arrival, not just the clock, and the driver is staged when your walk-off group is called. Free waiting applies while you clear the terminal. If disembarkation runs truly long, the driver stays in contact by text rather than leaving.

  • Can I add a stop, for example groceries or a hotel bag drop?

Yes. Add the stop when you book and it is priced into the fixed fare, typically far less than paying for a second ride. Popular examples: a pharmacy run before boarding, dropping bags at a hotel, or picking up a second party at another address.

  • How do payment and cancellation work?

You pay securely online by card when you book, and the receipt arrives by email. Cancellation is free more than 24 hours before pickup; 24 to 3 hours before, 30% is charged; inside 3 hours or on a no-show, 50%. Changing time or flight details before pickup is free.

  • Are you cheaper than the cruise line shuttle or a rideshare?

Against cruise-line shuttles, which charge per person, a fixed fare per vehicle usually wins from two passengers up, and it is door to door rather than wait-and-queue. Against rideshare, base prices can look similar until embarkation-morning surge hits; our quote is locked when you book, and the driver knows the terminals.
